Processen, skikttjockleken, standarden EN ISO 1461<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Varmf\u00f6rzinkning inneb\u00e4r att st\u00e5ldelar doppas i ett bad av sm\u00e4lt zink vid en temperatur p\u00e5 450\u2013460 \u00b0C. Genom diffusion av zinkatomer in i st\u00e5lytan bildas ett permanent j\u00e4rn\u2013zinklegeringsskikt med ett yttre lager av ren zink. Denna behandling f\u00f6rl\u00e4nger effekten av den ljusa och blanka zinkytan flera g\u00e5nger om och skyddar effektivt mot s\u00e5 kallad vitrost, dvs. oxidavlagringar som kan uppst\u00e5 vid fukt och begr\u00e4nsad lufttillg\u00e5ng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">P\u00e5verkan av legeringselement \u2013 hur p\u00e5verkar st\u00e5lets sammans\u00e4ttning varmf\u00f6rzinkningens kvalitet?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Zinkbel\u00e4ggningens utseende och skyddande egenskaper \u2013 s\u00e5som tjocklek, vidh\u00e4ftning till st\u00e5lets yta och estetik (j\u00e4mnhet, glans) \u2013 beror i h\u00f6g grad p\u00e5 f\u00f6rekomsten av vissa legeringselement i materialet. Kisel-, fosfor- och kolhalten \u00e4r avg\u00f6rande.
