Environmental campaign “tree for recyclables” 2025 at Galeria Gorlicka
On Saturday, April 26, 2025, a special environmental campaign, “Tree for recyclables,” took place at Galeria Gorlicka in Gorlice. Many participants took part in the event, bringing recyclable materials in exchange for beautiful potted and garden plant seedlings. TLC proudly supported this initiative as the main partner, actively engaging in environmental protection and promoting recycling.
How the “tree for recyclables” campaign worked in Gorlice
The participation rules were very simple. Anyone who brought a specified quantity of recyclable materials on the event day could receive flower seedlings:
4 kg of wastepaper = 1 seedling
20 PET bottles = 1 seedling
20 aluminum cans = 1 seedling
2 small electronic waste items (maximum 20 cm in length) = 1 seedling
Each participant could receive a maximum of four seedlings, depending on the amount of recyclables brought. Items collected included mobile phones, chargers, headphones, small electric toys, Bluetooth speakers, watches, and other small electronic devices.
900 seedlings distributed in Gorlice during the “tree for recyclables” campaign
The “Tree for Recyclables” campaign attracted great interest. From early morning hours, queues of participants formed at the Galeria Gorlicka parking lot. The plants distributed are perfect for balconies, terraces, and home gardens, allowing the residents of Gorlice to beautify their surroundings in an environmentally friendly way.
During the event, Nadleśnictwo Gorlice (the local Forest District Office) also hosted a booth. The youngest participants could take part in competitions, educational games, and learn valuable lessons about nature conservation, the importance of recycling, and the role each of us plays in protecting the planet.
